Blox Fruits Awakening Order: Where to Spend Fragments First
Several of the top guides for this topic tell you to save up 24,500 fragments to awaken Dragon. Dragon cannot be awakened. Neither can Kitsune, Venom, Control, Shadow, Portal, or Tiger. Exactly 12 fruits in Blox Fruits have an awakening, and the ones people grind hardest for mostly aren’t on the list.
We pulled the fragment costs straight from the Blox Fruits Wiki, checked them against each other, and worked out the raid counts from the wiki’s own drop rates rather than the inflated numbers most calculators use. Short version: a standard fruit costs 14,500 fragments, the first move costs 500 of that, and the last two moves eat 62% of your total budget.
How we put this together
We haven’t tested these values in the game ourselves. This analysis is based on the Blox Fruits Wiki’s raid and NPC pages, checked on August 10, 2026, plus a comparison against six published awakening guides. No affiliate links on this page.
One verification worth showing you, because it’s the reason we trust these numbers over the calculator sites. The wiki lists a fragment total for each of the 12 awakenable fruits, and separately states that awakening every fruit costs 187,300 fragments. Add up the 12 individual totals and you get exactly 187,300. The numbers check themselves.

Which fruits can actually be awakened
Twelve, and that’s the whole list:
Flame, Ice, Sand, Dark, Light, Magma, Quake, Buddha, Spider, Phoenix, Rumble, and Dough.
Eight of those are Elemental. Spider, Quake, Buddha, and Phoenix are the only awakenable fruits that aren’t.
If your fruit isn’t on that list, there is no awakening to save for, and no amount of fragments will unlock one. That includes almost every Mythical the trading market cares about. Before you commit 50 hours of raids to a plan, this is the thing to confirm first.
What it costs, per fruit
Costs are fixed per fruit and don’t change with the market. These are the wiki’s numbers as of August 10, 2026.
| Fruit | Fragments to fully awaken | Moves | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flame | 14,500 | Z, X, C, V, F | Widely considered the easiest raid |
| Ice | 14,500 | Z, X, C, V, F | Boss and NPC stuns make it tedious |
| Sand | 14,500 | Z, X, C, V, F | Desert themed |
| Dark | 14,500 | Z, X, C, V, F | Graveyard themed |
| Light | 14,500 | Z, X, C, V, F | Desert themed |
| Magma | 14,500 | Z, X, C, V, F | Wiki recommends it for fragment grinding |
| Rumble | 14,500 | Z, X, C, V, F | One of the harder normal raids |
| Buddha | 14,500 | Z, X, C, V, F | Hardest of the normal raids |
| Quake | 17,000 | Z, X, C, V | Only four moves, yet costs more |
| Spider | 17,300 | Z, X, C, V, F | One of the hardest raids |
| Dough | 18,500 | LMB, Z, X, C, V, F | Advanced raid |
| Phoenix | 18,500 | LMB, Z, X, C, V, F | Advanced raid |
For a standard 14,500 fruit, the individual moves cost 500, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, and 5,000. That ladder matters more than the total, and we’ll come back to it.
Quake is the odd one. It has four awakened moves instead of five, and still costs 2,500 more than Flame.

The part the calculators get wrong
Here’s the thing that changes your planning. The wiki states a raid pays out between 60 and 1,000 fragments, depending on how fast you clear it and how far you got if you failed. Most awakening calculators assume 1,000 to 1,500 per run, and one popular one defaults to 450.
Run the math at the wiki’s numbers instead:
| Fruit total | Perfect runs at 1,000 | Realistic runs at 600 | Slow runs at 300 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 14,500 | 15 | 25 | 49 |
| 17,000 | 17 | 29 | 57 |
| 17,300 | 18 | 29 | 58 |
| 18,500 | 19 | 31 | 62 |
| All 12 fruits (187,300) | 188 | 313 | 625 |
A guide promising you a full awakening in 10 raids is quietly assuming every single run is a flawless speed clear. Budget 25 to 30 runs for a standard fruit and you won’t be disappointed.

Getting into a raid
You need a microchip from the Mysterious Scientist. A basic chip costs 100,000 Beli or any physical Blox Fruit, which is why experienced players hand over junk fruits like Rocket instead of paying.
Advanced chips, for Dough and Phoenix only, cost 1,000 fragments or any physical fruit worth over 1,000,000. Phoenix has an extra gate: 400 mastery on Phoenix, then heal the Sick Scientist behind Candy Land.
Only one player in the group needs a chip, and a maximum of four can enter. The Second Sea lobby sits inside the tower on the cold side of Hot and Cold, behind a computer that wants the code Red, Blue, Green, Blue, entered with nothing in your hands. The Third Sea lobby is in the main building at Castle on the Sea.
Two things decide whether you finish: the raid boss has 155,500 HP, and you must have the matching fruit equipped when the raid ends or you get sent home with nothing.
The awakening order that saves the most fragments
Moves unlock along a fixed cost ladder, and you awaken one at a time. On a standard 14,500 fruit, here’s what each stage actually costs you:
| Stage | Running total | Share of full cost |
|---|---|---|
| Z only | 500 | 3.4% |
| Z and X | 2,500 | 17.2% |
| Z, X, and C | 5,500 | 37.9% |
| Z, X, C, and V | 9,500 | 65.5% |
| Everything including F | 14,500 | 100% |
Look at the top row. The first awakened move costs 500 fragments, which is roughly one good raid. The last move alone costs 5,000, or ten times the first.
That shape suggests a clear approach, and it’s the opposite of what most guides recommend:
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Awaken Z on your grinding fruit first. At 500 fragments it’s the cheapest meaningful upgrade in the game. |
| 2 | Stop at Z and X for now. 2,500 fragments gets you two upgraded moves for 17% of the full price. |
| 3 | Spread wide before you go deep. Awakening Z and X on four different fruits costs 10,000 fragments. Finishing one fruit completely costs 14,500. Ask yourself which gives you more. |
| 4 | Only push to V and F on the one fruit you’ll main. Those last two moves are 9,000 fragments by themselves, which is 62% of the total. |
| 5 | Grind Magma or Flame raids for the fragments themselves. The wiki flags both as easy, and Magma specifically as a recommended fragment farm. |
| 6 | Swap permanent fruits mid raid. This one is wiki confirmed and most guides skip it. You can clear the hard part of a raid with Buddha equipped, then switch to the fruit you’re awakening before it ends. |
Verdict
For a player under Level 1500, awakening Buddha first is the strongest use of 14,500 fragments, because the fruit you awaken for grinding pays for every awakening after it. For a PvP focused player, Dough at 18,500 has the highest ceiling, and the awakened version carries a real trade premium.
Three problems worth knowing before you start:
- The last two moves are terrible value. V and F cost 9,000 of a 14,500 total. You’ll feel the jump from unawakened to Z far more than the jump from V to F.
- Buddha’s raid is the hardest normal raid in the game. The fruit most worth awakening for grinding is gated behind the raid you’ll struggle with most before you have it. That’s a genuine chicken and egg problem, and the usual fix is finding a carry.
- Most of the popular fruits have no awakening at all. If you spent Robux on a permanent Kitsune or Dragon expecting to awaken it later, that upgrade path does not exist.
What players keep reporting
Three points recur across community guides, and one of them contradicts the others:
- Awakenings are permanent, and reversible for free. The wiki’s Awakenings Expert page states you can revert awakened moves and then reselect them later without doing another raid or paying fragments again. Several popular guides claim you lose your awakening if you change fruits. The wiki’s own wording is that this makes awakenings permanent, so treat the “you’ll lose it” warning with caution and verify in game before panicking.
- Buddha or Phoenix carries make everything faster. Every guide we checked, and the wiki itself, recommends bringing one. Phoenix regeneration can heal an unawakened Buddha user back to full, though the wiki notes awakened Buddha loses that interaction.
- Angel V4 substitutes for Buddha. The wiki describes King’s Rule stunning raid NPCs and the boss indefinitely while you stay close, which makes it one of the better raid races.
FAQ
Can you awaken Dragon or Kitsune in Blox Fruits?
No. Neither has an awakening. The complete list of awakenable fruits is Flame, Ice, Sand, Dark, Light, Magma, Quake, Buddha, Spider, Phoenix, Rumble, and Dough.
How many fragments to fully awaken a fruit?
14,500 for most fruits. Quake is 17,000, Spider is 17,300, and Dough and Phoenix are 18,500 each.
How many raids does that take?
Between 15 and 49 for a standard fruit, since a raid pays 60 to 1,000 fragments depending on your clear speed. Plan for 25 to 30.
Which fruit should I awaken first?
Buddha if you grind, because it speeds up every raid after it. Dough if you focus on PvP. Flame or Magma if you only want a cheap first awakening and easy raids.
What does a raid chip cost?
100,000 Beli or any physical Blox Fruit for a basic raid. Advanced raids for Dough and Phoenix cost 1,000 fragments or a physical fruit worth over 1,000,000.
Do you lose your awakening if you switch fruits?
The wiki indicates awakened moves can be reverted and reselected later at no cost, which makes them permanent once purchased. Verify this in game before making an expensive decision, since several guides claim otherwise.
Conclusion
Awaken the Z move on your grinding fruit first, because 500 fragments buys the single biggest upgrade per fragment in the game. Save the V and F moves for the one fruit you actually main, and confirm your fruit is on the list of 12 before you grind a single raid for it.

Ryan has been playing Roblox since 2017. He started keeping a personal spreadsheet of codes that actually worked after getting burned one too many times by lists that hadn't been updated in weeks. That spreadsheet turned into BossGamerz. He still plays Blox Fruits and King Legacy regularly — not to write about them, but because he genuinely enjoys them. He handles what gets published and what doesn't. If a code list goes up on this site, he's either tested it himself or someone on the team has done it in front of him.
